CrossFit Hog Town and Bull City Ciderworks have teamed up to put on a Functional Fitness competition with:

  • Thousands in $Cash$ Prizes for Podium spots
  • Hard WODs
  • Hard Cider
  • Food Trucks
  • Vendors

It sounds like our kind of competition… so we’re going to throw one.
Besides, if you’re not competing come out anyways because we’ll have the best cider around pouring all damn day!

Team Logistics

2 Person Team:

  • Male/Male
  • Female/Female
  • Co-Ed

Divisons:

  • Rx
  • Intermediate
  • Novice

*We will not be hosting a specific masters division as it would be the same weights and scalings for those athletes as found in the intermediate and novice classes.  Pick a division to compete in that you feel like matches your skill level.

Movement Requirements:

*Do not assume these movements, weights, or modalities will be used. This is also not a full list of things you may be challenged to do.  These are suggestions to help you decide if this competition is right for you.  See “The WOD’s” page to download a full PDF of the workouts.

Rx

  • Anything is possible
  • Body Weight: Advanced movements like ring or bar muscle ups, hand stand push ups, double unders, Box Jumps #20-30
  • Resistance: Must be able to perform “squat” variations of all major lifts without the “power variation” (i.e. Squat Snatch, not power snatch + OHS).
    – Men: Barbell ground to overhead #155-275+, Snatch #115+, #53-70kb, #50-70 dumbbells.
    – Women: Barbell ground to overhead #85-165+, Snatch #95+, #44-53kb, #35-50 dumbbells.
  • Could be required to rope climb with or without feet, move odd objects, row, bike, and run.

Intermediate

  • Body Weight: Pull Ups, Hand Release push ups, deficit push ups, double unders or single under substitution, Box Jumps #20-24 with step up substitutions.
  • Resistance: “Power to Squat” variations of all major lifts are allowed (i.e. Power snatch + OHS).
    – Men: Barbell Ground to overhead #105-225+, Snatch #95+, #44-53kb, #35-55 dumbbells.
    – Women: Barbell ground to overhead #55-105+, Snatch #65+, #35-44kb, #20-35 dumbbells.
  • Could be required to rope climb with feet, move odd objects, row, bike, and run.

Novice

  • Body Weight: same as scaled but no possibility of pull ups.  Instead Jumping Pull Ups, or Ring Rows will be substituted.
  • Resistance: “Power to Squat” variations of all major lifts are allowed (i.e. Power snatch + OHS).
    – Men: Barbell Ground to overhead ##55-105+, Snatch #65+, #44-53kb, #20-35 dumbbells.
    – Women: Barbell ground to overhead #35-75+, Snatch #35+ , #26-35kb, #15-25 dumbbells.
  •  No Rope climbing.  Will be required to move odd objects, row, bike, and run.
